Angham Sings Lebanese Very Well!
Angham is a special kind of star in the sense that she does not have to earn her attention or earn her paycheck anymore. she is a big name because she did release some good songs and she has been standing for over two decades. But for her new album Angham tried something different. Here’s a music truth, Egyptian singers hardly do Lebanese songs–they just do not. But many Lebanese artists have done Egyptian songs–it’s a huge market.
Angham did something not often done, she did release a song in Lebanese dialect and it might be her best track. Of course she had to work with an all Lebanese talents from Danny Helou to Catherine Mowad (lyrics) and Hisham Bolis (music). This is neat that a star whose name is big everyone pays attention to the dialect spoken by so few, but loved by the masses.
The album just released today and it has already generated the right buzz. The album marks her return with Rotana, which knows about buzz. I think Angham did work with many awesome Egyptian names here too. But no one beats the title of her Lebanese song (I Hate Music) It’s a delicate song.
