Simply Said: No Other Young Pop Star Makes Music Like @NassifZeytoun Does
Nassif Zeytoun had ten things to say so he gave is a solid album with ten songs. I am a fan of his work as this Syrian vocalist who in my book was the best thing to come off Star Academy in the last ten years. This is Nassif’s second studio album and it’s worth every second. There is so much maturity and so many colors in it. There is so much love, romance heartache, conflict and good times. Nassif Zeytoun spends a great deal of time where he innovative, and works in the concert circles.
This a young rock star who has an old soul–and the late Wadi El Safie said as much about him when he shadowed the legend. Now Nassif in five years has become his own man and a big ticket item but still an accessible guy that feels like easy going. But what he does not take easy is his music making. He puts in the efforts and it shows in this lovely work of art. His selections of songs are through and he keeps us entertaining by never repeating himself.
In many of his songs he is addressing his loved one and sometimes he is upset with her and the things she says, but he is never mean about it. He keeps it classy but sometimes he loses hope like one of his tracks where he declares love is a lie. The song though shows a rare side of his Tarab quality voice that gets the listener in the zone instantly. For some, Nassif’s album is like going to therapy because you will relate to it and actually believe it. But for those who are looking for fun tracks there are plenty of those options, the music invites you to move your head and hips in joy.
